Studio rates and info

Thanks for considering working with me in the studio!

My engineer rate is sliding scale $300-400 per day, based on what you can afford. If this is outside of your scope, I may be able to offer an additional discount for multiple days or extenuating circumstances.

a $100 deposit is required per day to hold the dates (This of course is deductible from the final cost.) The deposit is non-refundable in most cases, however It is usually possible to reschedule and transfer the deposit to new days at my discretion.

At Singing sands there is AN ADDITIONAL $50 charge PER DAY to use the studio and equipment, Nate SNell and Pip’s donuts keeps the studio rental at low cost to support Portland’s music community. in return for the rental it is asked that you treat the equipment with respect and care so that it can be used by others as well.

i typically work weekdays from 10:00 am - 7:00 pm. I have my clients arrive between 10:30 and 11:00 am. I usually take a 40ish minute break for lunch. We wrap recording around 6:00 pm. I clean and prep for the next day after the clients have left. There is a little flexibility around scheduling, let me know if you’d like something different and I will attempt to accommodate that. please don’t come earlier than the agreed start time.

donuts, coffee and chai from pip’s are complimentary.

the entrance of the studio is also the pip’s break room, please be mindful of keeping their space clean and letting them enjoy their break.
